About this event

The latest innovations in ports are aggressively taking over the day to day running of the industry. It’s seemingly becoming an inevitability for the efficient functioning of the sector. Many innovations include unmanned trucks, which efficiently collaborate with each other using cloud-based centralized dispatching, and are directed to automatic locking and unlocking stations. This is one of many innovations that are up and coming. What is most important is providing the right technologies for the right scenarios with openness, cooperation, and mutual benefits in mind.

The Global Smart Ports Summit aims to bring the traditional ports and maritime sector towards the digital future by embracing, adopting and deploying already matured as well as new, developing technologies with human capital and corporate identity.

It will provide a platform for senior industry representatives, allowing participants to get a deep understanding of the upcoming technology transformations, critical infrastructure security goals, automation and autonomous trends, most recent global activities and trade dynamics and their impact on daily operations, and the industry as a whole. By an in-depth analysis of the maritime regulations and upcoming cybersecurity directives as well as the technologies already matured and those still in progress, the conference will bring the industry learnings into the 21st century.

EXCLUSIVE BOAT TOUR AROUND THE PORT OF HAMBURG
We are excited to announce an Exclusive Boat Tour around the Port of Hamburg!

Join us on the 16th of October, for an exciting journey through maritime and digital advancements with an exclusive boat tour around the Port of Hamburg. As one of the world's busiest seaports, this massive complex offers a unique blend of industrial grandeur, logistic prowess, and innovative technology.

Starting close to the Landungsbrücken, you will traverse the vast expanse of the port, witnessing first-hand the specialized terminals. From the behemoth container terminals of Waltershof, where towering gantry cranes handle millions of TEUs (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units) annually, to the Bulk Cargo and Multi-Purpose Terminals, the Port of Hamburg illustrates the seamless blend of manpower and machinery. Not to be missed is the Hamburg Cruise Center, a testament to the port's significant role in Northern European cruise ship tourism, and the Roll-on/Roll-off Terminal, specifically designed for handling wheeled cargo.

However, it's not only the visible infrastructure that makes this port a global maritime hub. The Port of Hamburg is also a pioneer in digital transformation, setting global standards for efficiency, security, and sustainability. Underpinning this digital success is the 'smartPORT' concept, which optimizes port processes using IoT (Internet of Things) devices throughout the port, feeding real-time data into a central management system.

I think, it’s good whether you’re new to the industry and trying to learn the basics of LNG, it’s a good opportunity to get out and hear what’s happening and general trends in the industry, but also for seasoned professionals to hear about new technologies that can help drive their projects forward and reduce cost
